Bristol Cider Shop and I will be joining forces on Friday 19th August to host a cider-themed supper evening at Bishopston Supper Club to demonstrate how well cider matches with food. Bristol Cider Shop will be showcasing some choice selections from their wide range of products available, all locally sourced and made from real juice by artisan producers.
With this in mind, we’ve come up with the following menu;
Arrival drink and nibbles – Butford Organics ‘Aurora’ bottle fermented perry
Chicken liver and Somerset Cider Brandy paté, shallot marmalade – Lyne Down Kingston Black cider
Sardines marinated in Oliver’s perry vinegar, new potato salad – Oliver’s Three Counties perry
Wild rabbit and cider stew, mustard mash and greens – Heck’s Farmhouse cider
Blueberry and Slider jelly, coriander seed ice cream – Bramley & Gage Slider
Ragstone, quince paste – Somerset Pomona
Coffee/tea, apple curd tarts
Arrival from 7.30pm, £40 all-inclusive (£10 deposit to be paid in advance to Bristol Cider Shop and the remaining £30 to be paid on the night).
There should be plenty to drink with the food but please feel free to bring your own drinks as well, if you wish.
